Recently named the Atlantic University Sport (AUS) Rookie of the Year for the 2019 season, Dan played for the Mount Allison Mounties this past season achieving 35.5 tackles, 4 sacks, 3 interceptions, and 3 forced fumbles in eight regular season games.

Dan being a proud New Brunswick born and raised player, started his career for Fundy Minor Football Association’s (FMFA). This career started at the age of 10 when he was a member of the Central Patriots at the Atom level. Following his two years in Atom, he continued developing as a player in PeeWee for the Central Saints, and finished off with the Saint John Abbies in 2015 & 2016 during his time with FMFA.
Furthermore, Dan was also an intricate part of the Football New Brunswick high performance programs as he most recently competed in Calgary as a U18 team member in 2018. Last but not least, Dan Bell played this past summer for the SJ Wanderers of the Maritime Football League who competed in the finals for the coveted Terry McIntyre Cup.
Football New Brunswick wishes the 6’2” 200 pounder, Dan Bell, all the best as a USPORT nominee for the Peter Gorman Trophy for Best Rookie in Canadian university sport.
